Don Cannon, age 72 of Calloway County, formerly of Eddyville, died at 8:30 am today at his home. Don was a member of Briansburg Baptist Church in Draffenville, was a former Mayor of the City of Eddyville, the owner and operator of Wilma's Restaurant in downtown Benton, KY, a heavy equipment operator, owned and operated Aurora Oaks campground in Marshall County. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Dollie Ramey Cannon. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Judy Moore Galusha Cannon of Calloway County, two sons Joe Galusha and wife Rhonda of Grosse Ile, MI, Jay Cannon and fiancee' Darlene Lovett of Eddyville, two daughters Karmel Galusha Stewart and husband Jeff of Murray, Libby Cannon George and husband Greg of Princeton, twelve grandchildren Shelby Galusha, Jonathan Galusha, Sydney Galusha, Haley Sipes and husband Cody, Braxton Stewart, Aaron Cannon, Jake Cannon, Cole Cannon, Alexis George, Colton George, Victoria McWherter, Morgan McWherter and one great grandchild Maddie Sipes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Boyd Smith officiating and burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 until 8 pm Sunday at Dunn's.
