Edna Earl Hook

Edna "Granny Hook" Hook, age 83 of Grand Rivers, died at 10:15 am Friday, March 15, 2013 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. She was a member of Grand Rivers Baptist Church, Co-owned and managed Grand Rivers Fish Market for years and years, worked as a cook for the Iron Kettle Restaurant, the Hillbilly Restaurant and Patti's Restaurant. She was a 50 plus year member of the Calvert City Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore E. Hook Jr. in 1989, one granddaughter Leigh Ann O'Nan, one great grandson Victor Doom and two brothers. Survivors include one son Cleatis Hook and wife of Grand Rivers, three daughters Margaret Ann Doom and husband T. A. of Grand Rivers, Marina Fay Wilson and husband Jim of Grand Rivers, Martha June Crawford and husband Kevin of Grand Rivers, four sisters Betty Stinnet of Providence, KY, Virginia Capps of Providence, Giovanninia Phillips of Providence and Opal Waide of Carterville, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 18, 2013 at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. James Oats officiating and burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers. Friends may call from 5 until 8 pm Sunday at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Eastern Star services to begin at 7:00 pm. Online condolences may be left at www.dunnsfuneralhome.net.
