Roger Clinton Gray
August 22, 1953 - October 13, 2020
Roger C. Gray, age 67 of Caldwell County, died at 9:42 am, October 13, 2020 at Caldwell Medical Center. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church, a founding member of The Lyon County Archery Club, former member of the Fredonia Valley Bowhunters Club and a Kentucky Hunter Education Instructor. He had worked as a farmer on the family farm in his younger days, Arvin Industries in Princeton, ITT Grinnell in Princeton, Cedar Bluff Rock Quarry as their maintenance lead man and finally retired from Rogers Group Rock Quarry as a heavy equipment operator. Roger was preceded in death by an infant sister Carol Ann Gray and his parents Harry Clint (Shorty) and Louise Polk Gray. Survivors include his wife of 34 years Shirley Boyd Gray of Caldwell County, two daughters Shelley G. Sapp of Monument, CO, Mary Beth Singleton of Salem, KY, one son Jason Williams of Caldwell County, one sister Nancy Gray Thompson of Eddyville, and six grandchildren Evan, Nate, Lizzy and Grayson Sapp of Colorado, Logan King and Emma Grace King of Salem, KY. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Jim Boyd and Carrell Boyd officiating and burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 pm Friday and Saturday morning until funeral time at Dunn's in Eddyville.
